SAFETY SURVEY

This semester, we conducted a survey of youth in our community and asked what “safety” meant to them, where they experienced it, and how they thought people could do better when it comes to creating safe spaces. In this video, we break down the results. Hear from LGBTQ+, questioning, and ally youth, and learn about what it means for them to feel safe.

PROFESSIONAL PANEL

We also spoke with a wide panel of experts about creating safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth, and asked them questions about how to practice better allyship, how to create safe LGBTQ+ spaces in schools or community spaces, and how to find safe spaces for yourself. We learned from their experiences as mentors, artists, policymakers and more. Check out the discussion here!
